Good Robot Studios prioritises data privacy and security, and adopts a minimum data posture to reduce risk and exposure of your data.
App ownership: Currently Good Robot Studios publishes only one app, the puzzle game Pexel. This app is entirely owned and developed by Good Robot Studios Ltd.
Data collection: no user identifiable data, or any data stored on a user device, is collected by Pexel. A random identifier is generated for each app installation and this is used to identify your Pexel install when you connect to Good Robot Studios database (hosted on Google Firebase) so that the app can retrieve high scores and puzzle solutions. It is intended that, in future, a user will be able to create their own puzzle level and share this with other users through the Pexel app – the random generated identifier will be used to link the user to their own puzzle designs too. The identifier is a random string generated by the app that does not include any personal or device identifiers. No personally identifiable data is collected by Pexel app.
Data sharing: no data is shared with any third parties. Some non-personal data, including puzzle high scores, puzzle solutions and user ratings for puzzles (during testing only) are hosted on a Google Firestore database.
